Lippan Art - Lippan Kaam also as known as Clay mirror work is an art form that originates from Kutch, in Gujurat, India. It is a traditional mural craft of Kutch.
In the workshop, you will learn -
What is Lippan Kaam, and understanding the use & concept of its designs. The participants will the draw and moulding their designs, before decorating it with mirror work and color washes.
The board size is 30 x 30 cm, and the materials used will be clay, a special type of mud, and mirrors.
About The Artist:
Recenty moved to Dubai, Mansi Bavishi has learned this art from the Lippan artists in Kutch. She has been conducting workshops and also making wall murals for gifting and exhibiting her artwork in community spaces.
