Coil pots are one of the oldest forms of pottery, dating back over 10,000 years. Coil pot technique involves rolling clay into long, think coils and then stacking them on top of each other to create the desired shape. Coil pots have been found in many cultures throughout history, including ancient Egypt, Greece, and Native American tribes. Since the beginning of time, when people first used this method to make vessels for storing and cooking food, coil pots have a lengthy and rich past.

About The Instructor:
Shahid Malik is a contemporary artist redefining traditional miniature painting. With degrees in Fine Arts from NCA and Punjab University, his work has gained regional and international acclaim. Awarded the Dubai Golden Visa in 2023 and a National Bank of Fujairah Art Award, his art has been showcased globally. He also leads workshops with RAK Art Festival and Sharjah Art Foundation.
