The design of kids' areas may often be overlooked as parents feel children will 'outgrow' it too quickly. On the contrary, when a space is well designed, it offers a solid base on which change and growth can smoothly materialize.

This workshop will explore the basic guidelines for infant, toddler, and tween spaces. We will discuss color palettes, zoning, balance, furniture, accessorizing, and strategies we can implement within a space to promote self-expression and growth.

We will end our session with an interactive exercise where participants rethink a space in their own home and create improvement using the tools acquired in the workshop. (We suggest bringing in some images of your child’s space for this exercise).

This workshop is suitable for beginners as no prior experience is required.

About the Instructor:
Yusra is an Architect and designer, with 7 years of experience in the field, but it was only when she had her first child that she became aware of the unique perspective that children have of space, and how we may be falling short in ensuring we curate accordingly.
