In this Workshop on Islamic Geometric Patterns, no experience is required. We'll be using High School Level Geometry only. We'll learn how to draw a pattern using traditional methods. We'll trace it and transfer it on a watercolor sheet. After this, we'll color the pattern on the watercolour sheet with colours of choice. At the end of the workshop, you'll have basic understanding of Islamic Patterns, watercolor techniques and take home with you a beautiful piece of artwork with a historic pattern on it perfect for keepsake or gifting. High quality Art materials will be provided. 

About The Instructor:
Shireen is an Islamic Geometric Artist based in Dubai. Her background as an Architect and Urban Designer and decades of experiencing Mughal Architecture in various states across India has shaped her interest in the field. With a deep appreciation of heritage Art, Shireen strives to make it more accessible.A keen observer, she often recreates the patterns observed in the Prayers areas, facades, windows, gates etc spotted in everyday life in Dubai to create awareness and encourage civic pride in the city of Dubai.
