Age: 10+
Join us for a unique, hands-on workshop where you’ll design your own tote bag inspired by the beauty of Islamic geometric patterns and the soul of Arabic expression. This is more than just painting — it’s a journey into rhythm, symmetry, and meaning.
Surrounded by a warm, earthy setup infused with an Arabic aesthetic — think soft textiles, natural light, subtle scents, and curated details — you’ll be fully immersed in an atmosphere that feels both grounding and inspiring. Every element is designed to slow you down and connect you to the process.
In this workshop, you will:
* Explore the foundations of Islamic patterns and their symbolic flow
* Create your own composition using guided techniques (beginner-friendly)
* Add a personal touch with Arabic words, quotes, or calligraphy-inspired elements
* Transform a simple tote into a meaningful, wearable piece of art
Whether you choose something poetic, spiritual, or deeply personal, your tote becomes a reflection of you — your rhythm, your story, your voice.
No experience needed — just come as you are.
Let yourself create, flow, and carry your art with you.
This workshop blends creativity with psychology and mindfulness. Every participant will create a symbolic artwork where nothing is random: each line and mark is a trace of thought.
Introduction
Welcome + share the concept of Traces of Thoughts.
Show examples (booklet: geometric patterns, symbols, Morse code, Greek/Egyptian signs).
Quick talk about how symbols connect to psychology and emotions.
Warm-up Exercise
Guided breathing / short mindfulness exercise.
Participants start by drawing simple repetitive lines, circles, or dots—loosening the hand and quieting the mind.
Building the Symbols
Participants choose from the symbol booklet or invent their own.
Practice drawing individual elements (circles, arrows, grids, spirals, codes).
Creating the Artwork
Participants combine their chosen signs into one composition.
Encourage layering: circles for cycles, arrows for movement, grids for mystery, dots for silence, etc.
Background music (ambient, meditative, minimal).
Reflection
Each participant photographs their artwork.
Optional exercise: upload to ChatGPT and ask:
“If this artwork was a mirror of my inner world, what might it reveal about my emotions, hidden feelings, or personality right now?”
Group shares insights (only if they want).
Closing
End with a circle share or quiet reflection.
Encourage participants to keep their artwork as a symbolic mirror of their current state
