• Understanding the Material: Get familiar with lino sheets, tools, and techniques.

• Transferring Drawings on Lino Sheet: Learn how to accurately trace and position your design.

• Planning the Carving: Explore composition and areas of contrast to prepare your artwork.

• Carving the Sheet: Master safe and effective carving methods to bring your design to life.

• Ink Preparation & Application: Mix and apply ink evenly for professional-quality prints.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with your own original linocut print — and the skills to continue creating from home.

About The Instructor:
Shahid Malik is a contemporary artist redefining traditional miniature painting. With degrees in Fine Arts from NCA and Punjab University, his work has gained regional and international acclaim. Awarded the Dubai Golden Visa in 2023 and a National Bank of Fujairah Art Award, his art has been showcased globally. He also leads workshops with RAK Art Festival and Sharjah Art Foundation.
