An Illuminated Art Experience for Ramadan & Mother’s Day
Concept Description
Moonlight Workshop is a conceptual art experience where participants create their own illuminated moon artwork on a round MDF panel using textured mixed media and embedded warm lighting.
Inspired by the symbolism of the crescent moon during Ramadan and the emotional warmth associated with Mother’s Day, this workshop invites participants to reflect on light — both spiritual and personal.
The moon represents:
• Reflection and stillness
• Guidance in darkness
• Quiet strength
• The nurturing presence that lights our path
Each participant will design a textured moon surface using acrylic techniques, metallic accents, and layered materials, then integrate soft warm LED lighting to transform their artwork into a functional illuminated art piece suitable for home display.
This workshop is not only about creating art — it is about creating light.
Participants will:
1. Work on a round MDF board (30–40 cm diameter)
2. Learn basic texture-building techniques to create crater-like moon surfaces
3. Apply layered acrylic painting techniques
4. Add subtle metallic or gold leaf details
5. Integrate warm LED lighting (back-lit or diffused through micro perforations)
6. Finish with sealing and presentation guidance
No prior experience is required.
